It was determined that the route of the Highway Tube Crossing project, which will pass under the Bosphorus, is not included in the plans.
The Highway Tube Crossing project, which will pass under the Bosphorus, has been set for the transformation project that will allow Haydarpaşa to be used as a trade and tourism center.
However, due to the fact that the Tube Transition project route was not included in the plans, the commercial zoning given to the TCDD plots was turned into a green area. Bosphorus Tube Transition project route has been processed in the development plans of Haydarpaşa Port project, one of the most prestigious projects of Istanbul. In the plan arrangement to transform the Harem and Haydarpaşa region into a touristic and commercial center, the lands owned by TCDD were taken to the public service area. The request for the conversion of TCDD lands, which are designated as Municipal Service Areas and Social Facilities, to the commercial area was accepted at the meeting of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Council on 13 April 2012.
However, in the examination made by the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, it was determined that the route of the Highway Tube Crossing project, which will pass under the Bosphorus, is not included in the plans. In the letter sent by the Ministry, it was stated that there are limits of building approach on the route of the tube passage, which will allow the passage of the vehicles, but they are not taken into account because they are not included in the plans. It was stated that this situation may cause disadvantages in the future and it was asked to make the necessary arrangements. Accordingly, the land located on the tube crossing route was transformed from the commercial zoning to the green area.
HAK LOSS WAS RECEIVED
TCDD stated that construction restriction occurred due to tube passage and asked for reinstatement of lost rights in another part of the project. City Council, turning the fall into a green field, has brought a ban on construction. It was also decided to compensate for the loss of rights arising from the withdrawal of the zoning in the land of the TCDD in another part of the project.
