In this context, the 6 high speed train set will be purchased within the scope of the Ankara-Konya High Speed Train Line Development Project. To this end, the companies gave their bids. The tender commission will determine the most appropriate proposal by evaluating many criteria such as number of seats, energy cost. Following the approval of the TCDD Board of Directors, the tender will be finalized.
Following these processes, the new train sets will have the maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour and will be operated at the operating speed of 300 kilometers per hour. Ankara-Konya between 15 minutes will be shorter. Existing trains are able to drive up to a maximum of 300 kilometers per hour and are operated at an operating speed of 250 kilometers per hour. The duration of the voyage between the two provinces takes 1 hours 30 minutes with the available trains.
