Istanbul Metro accelerated work for Taksim-Yenikapi line

A new one is added to Istanbul's metro network. Work on the construction of the Taksim-Yenikapı subway continues. In Haliç, one of the stops, the feet of the bridge began to appear. Once the new metro line is completed, Yenikapı will be accessible from Sarıyer.

Construction of the new line that will connect Istanbul metro with Yenikapı continues. When the subway line is completed, it will consist of Taksim-Şişhane-Unkapanı-Şehzadebaşı-Yenikapı stops.

When the new line is opened; A passenger who takes the metro from Sarıyer-Hacıosman will be able to go to Yenikapı transfer station without interruption. From here with the Marmaray connection, Kadıköy-Kartal, Bakırköy-Atatürk Airport or Bağcılar-Başakşehir will be able to reach in a short time.

Istanbul Metropolitan Mayor Kadir Topbaş said, "The line will carry 1 million passengers a day ... We are talking about a line with tunnel excavations finished."

CONSTRUCTION IN HALIC TO BE COMPLETED AT THE END OF 2012

One of the stops of the metro will be the Golden Horn. The feet of the Golden Horn Bridge, which will carry the Istanbul metro on the earth, have been completed. The metro, which will come to Azapkapı, will cross this bridge and will go underground again on the outskirts of Süleymaniye.

There will be pedestrian paths on both sides of the bridge made with the 1 kilometer rail system. The construction at the Haliç stop is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
