“When we consider the project as Ankara-Istanbul, there are more than 750 art structures. Currently 2 thousand people work in this region. 600 work machines are working. This demonstrates the importance that the project and our contractors attach to the project, and how great efforts have been made to finish it on time or even a little earlier.

Upon the question of a journalist, Minister Yıldırım said that they aim to complete the Marmaray project, which is co-ordinated with the Ankara-İstanbul YHT project, at 30 September 2013.

Minister Yıldırım, describing the completion of both Ankara-Istanbul YHT and Marmaray projects in one year as "a very ambitious period", expressed that they trust the contractors and they believe that they will complete the projects within this period.
