İzmir Metropolitan Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu is in Germany for the Tram

Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu, who went to Germany to make examinations on tram operation, which is still in preparation, held talks in Bremen.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu, who went to Germany for a technical trip to tram systems, held talks in the "sister city" Bremen on the first day of his visit. Mayor Kocaoğlu, who first examined the tram system in the city with his delegation, received detailed information from BSAG officials of the operating company of Bremen Municipality during the short tram tour.
THREE THREE TRAVELERS OF THE PASSENGERS
The Mayor of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, who received a briefing at the headquarters of BSAG, which operates the transportation systems of Bremen, met with the senior executives of the company, more than 99 percent of its shares owned by the Municipality of Bremen. The İzmir delegation, which obtained detailed information about the location of the tram line in the city center, the solutions applied to the traffic problems, transfer, line renewal and planning works, also visited the garage facilities.
BSAG, which has a fleet of 329 vehicles, operates 115 trams in the city. The length of the line in Bremen, which has been operating tramways for 50 years, is 111 kilometers. Two-thirds of the 280 passenger loads per day are carried by trams. Cycling is also common in Bremen, as the city is situated on a flat plain.
İZMİR-BREMEN FRIENDLY

The İzmir delegation, headed by Aziz Kocaoğlu, will meet with BVG managers who operate the tram systems by going to Berlin tomorrow.
