The law on the restructuring of railways will be released in this legislative year

In his speech at the ministry's coordination meeting held at the General Directorate of State Airports Authority, Binali Yıldırım said that they held the 4th coordination meeting this year.
Reminding that the General Directorate of Railway Regulation is also a newly established headquarters, Yıldırım noted that this general directorate was established in order to establish the legislation and to establish the basic rules for this operation and to establish the rules for the operation of the railways if the activities of the railways are opened to third parties.
In this context, Minister Yıldırım stated that the general directorate started to work and that they sent the law to restructure the railways to the Turkish Grand National Assembly and stated that they aim to enact the law in this legislative year.
Yıldırım stated that some rumors that “not to be strayed” were spreading from certain circles that the railroads will be destroyed and their activities will end with this law.
“This law has only one purpose: to use our railways more efficiently, that is, to open our rails to everyone, like in highways, airports, seas. Railways will continue to operate with the same name, with the same capacity, by further increasing their power. In addition, private companies will use these roads by paying the price for the railways. The biggest problem of railways today; business cannot profit, it is making losses. Thus, we will be able to reduce this damage. We will have the opportunity to maintain the roads and build new roads. Therefore, we will have realized a structure that will strengthen the future and future of railways in all aspects.
