Raise rail transport in Germany

It is reported that German Railways (DB) and cargo company DHL will increase their prices. According to the statement made by the DB, ticket prices will increase by approximately 9 percent as of December 3 due to the rising energy prices.
With the new arrangement, a person who buys a second class one-way train ticket from Hamburg to Munich in Germany will pay 135 euros (139 TL) instead of 320 euros.
A year ago, the DB had increased its ticket prices by a percentage of 3,9 and was heavily criticized.
On the other hand, it has been announced that the cargo company DHL will increase its cargo prices outside Germany by 2013 percent as of 4,9.
DHL, a sister company of the German Post Office (Deutsche Post), cited the increased safety demands and operating costs in air transport as the reason for the increase rates.
