New lines will also be received
The Ministry of Transport will undertake the construction of two more metro lines in Istanbul in the second step. These projects are as follows:
- 25 kilometers long Bakırköy-Şirinevler-Sefaköy-Avcılar-Beylikdüzü subway.
- 9-kilometer Bakıkröy (İDO) -Bahçelievler-Bağcılar (Kirazlı) metro.
Sources stated that negotiations are continuing in these projects and that the tenders of these projects will be carried out by the Directorate General of Infrastructure Investments under the Ministry of Transport.
