Ankara-Eskişehir and Ankara-Konya High Speed Trains (YHT) return to Ankara Station after a 2-month break. YHTs, who have been moving from Sincan since June 15 due to the construction of the Marşandiz Bridge on Anadolu Boulevard, will start to move from Ankara Station again on August 17.
The Marşandiz Bridge on Anadolu Boulevard was demolished and rebuilt by the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality on the grounds that it was not safe enough. For this reason, Ankara-Eskişehir and Ankara-Konya YHT flights have served between Sincan-Eskişehir-Sincan and Sincan-Konya-Sincan since June 15, 2012.
Throughout this period, TCDD carried passengers by making free bus services to Sincan in front of Ankara Station, 1 hour before YHT's departure from Sincan. In addition, the passengers used free buses from Ankara, Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which went from Ulus, Kızılay and Batıkent to Sincan, by showing their YHT tickets.
According to the information received by the AA reporter, with the completion of the construction work of the Marşandiz Bridge, YHTs will return to Ankara Station as of August 17. As of that date, YHTs will start to serve between Ankara-Eskişehir-Ankara, Ankara-Konya-Ankara again.
YHTs departing from Ankara Station will continue by taking passengers from Sincan station as before.
