In the statement, at 21, between the 4 + 21 and 4 + 07.24K catenary poles of the catenary line feeding the Alsancak-Aliağa suburban system, a short circuit occurred as a result of the breaking and falling of the 34.5 medium voltage line belonging to TEDAŞ. It was stated that the porter, grounding, pendulum and travel wires were damaged.
As a result, it was noted that 6 trains belonging to İZBAN remained at the scene, “Intervening the traffic, the operation of suburban trains continued between Cumaovası-Halkapınar and Ulukent-Aliağa. Work started immediately to eliminate the fault, the mountain road was opened to traffic at 09.33 and the sea route was temporarily opened at 10.30. A total of 28 suburban trains between Ulukent and Halkapınar were canceled due to the malfunction.
