KadıköyErdogan opens the Eagle subway

Kadiköy-Kartal metro will be put into service tomorrow. The metro line, where Prime Minister Erdogan will make its first drive, will reduce the transportation to 29 minutes and relax the traffic. The subway, which was started to be built in 2008, can serve with wagons that can be used unmanned with its smart systems. 22 kilometers long Kadıköy- The Eagle Line will carry 1-1.5 million passengers a day.
With Marmaray, which is expected to be put into service at the end of 2013, the passenger coming from Kartal will be able to reach Yenikapı, Taksim and from there to the airport. When other lines under construction such as the metro line, Marmaray, Yenikapı-Hacıosman, Otogar-Bağcılar-İkitelli lines are completed, the travel time will significantly shorten. There are 1.6 stations on the metro line, which costs 16 billion dollars, and the subway will be extended by 4.5 kilometers to Pendik-Kaynarca. With the commissioning of this line, the total expenditure will reach 3 billion 225 million TL.
