Russian Railways plans to open the second train station called "Kazan-2" in Kazan. Railway Workers' Day is celebrated in Russia on the first Sunday of August. New transportation points will be opened in Kazan, which will host the World University Games in 2013 within the framework of the celebratory events this year.
According to previous statements, 2013 billion rubles were allocated for the development of infrastructure in Kazan within the scope of preparation for University Games 11. 3.5 billion of this budget was realized. In May 2011, the Russian Railways announced the construction of a train station project that would make it easier to reach the airport from the center of Kazan. For the project, which is expected to cost 700 million rubles, 2011 million rubles were spent in 73. After the train station is completed, it will be possible to reach the airport from Kazan city center in only 140 minutes by trains that will operate at a speed of 25 km per hour.
Another infrastructure improvement made in preparation for the University Olympics is the Kazan-2 station, which is built at the Voss Blanket-Pasajirskaya station, which will provide transit for trains and passengers. These stations will cost 1.1 billion rubles in total. 500 million Ruble of this amount was spent in 2011. These projects, which are carried out as part of preparations for University Olympics 2013, are planned to be launched in December 2012.
