The ceremony of sending the Konya Blue Train to its first voyage on the Konya İzmir line was held at İzmir Alsancak Station, attended by the Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Binali Yıldırım and the Minister of Culture and Tourism Ertuğrul Günay.

Ak Party İzmir deputies Ali Aşlık, Nesrin Ulema, Hamza Dağ, İzmir Governor Cahit Kıraç, CHP İzmir Metropolitan Mayor Aziz Kocaoğlu, TCDD General Manager Süleyman Karaman and approximately 500 people attended the ceremony. With the rail system, which was renewed by spending 350 million liras, the blue train journey decreased from 18 hours to 10 hours. The blue train will depart between İzmir and Konya at 20.00:XNUMX every evening. Yıldırım said that the people of Konya living in İzmir can take the train and spend the holiday in their hometown with peace of mind.
