ThyssenKrupp Gft Gleistechnik to pay fines for rail cartels

Germany-based steelmaker ThyssenKrupp has announced that its German-based subsidiary ThyssenKrupp GfT Gleistechnik GmbH has been sentenced by the German Federal Cartel Bureau to a penalty of 103 million for rail cartel cases.
For more than a year, the Federal Cartel Bureau has been investigating various companies operating in the country's railway sector. The review, including ThyssenKrupp, included steel shipments to the German national railway company Deutsche Bahn. Companies under ThyssenKrupp GfT Gleistechnik GmbH, subject to inspection, will also be fined.
ThyssenKrupp's penalty was reduced because he cooperated with the institutions that carried out the review and shared the developments in accordance with the principle of transparency with his customers.
