Tender will be held to extend İZBAN to Torbalı

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, to extend the Aliaga-Menderes Suburb to Torbali district, will be the tender for the construction of five stations and seven highway crossings on the additional line of the 30 kilometer and the construction of 30 kilometers of fiber optic cables for communication and weak current operations for stations.
The municipality which signed a protocol with TCDD will complete the station and highway overpasses in 16 months after the tenders have been concluded and the place delivery is completed.
Within the scope of the additional line to be made to the Aliağa-Menderes Suburban System (İZBAN), stations will be built in Develi, Tekeli, Pancar, Torbalı and Tepeköy after Cumaovası Station. Highway overpass in Menderes Gölcükler, partial underpass in Cumaovası, highway overpass in Develi, highway overpass in Tekeli, highway overpass in Pancar, highway overpass in Torbalı Kuşcuburnu, highway overpass in Torbalı and a highway overpass will be built in Tepeköy. Again in Tepeköy, a pedestrian overpass with elevators and escalators will be built to ensure safe passage across the street.
According to the protocol in question, the stations and highway under and overpasses will be made by the Metropolitan Municipality. The existing single-line railway from Cumaovası to Torbalı will be extended to double lines by TCDD. The construction of the protection walls of the line, the extension of the signaling and electrification systems to Torbalı Tepeköy in line with the Aliağa-Cumaovası line will also be the work of TCDD.
With the addition of the additional line, passengers from Aliağa and the city center will have the opportunity to travel safely, fast, uninterrupted and comfortable until Torbalı. The passengers of Selçuk, Bayındır, Tire and Ödemiş will be able to travel from Izmir to Torbalı and from there to Aliağa. The distance from Torbalı Tepeköy to Cumaovası is estimated to be around 30-25.
