Port of Bordeaux authorities signed an 8-year contract with Europorte Socorail, a subsidiary of Eurotunnel, for port railway management and railway infrastructure works in the port area.
The port railway line will serve at 7 stations, including Bassens and Le Verdon stations. Europorte also offers services on the Dunkerque port railway operating contracts, the Nantes Saint-Nazaire, Rouen and Paris railways.
