The Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Binali Yıldırım, said that they carried out the project of connecting the Sakarya, which was planned by the Ottomans in 1830s, to Izmit via the Arifiye-Karasu railway line.
Yıldırım stated that the railway line is 55 kilometers long and double-line, in a statement made to journalists after the briefing, saying, “It is a very important line that includes the connection of 3 OIZs on the route in the region. Geliyor- importance of the Black Sea from Istanbul, tying the largest producing basins of Turkey such as Istanbul and Izmit. In other words, the products produced in this basin will be shipped over the Black Sea. ”
Yıldırım said, “We are carrying out the project of connecting the Sakarya, which was planned by the Ottoman in the 1830s to Izmit, by rail,” and reminded that the Adapazarı-Karasu road was turned into a divided road during the AK Party rule.
Pointing out that they are giving weight to the railway work Lightning, said:
”After Karasu, we planned this railway from the coast to the east, to Bartın in the following years. We received comprehensive information about the state of the construction. Currently 500 people are actually working on the road route. The fact that the region is an agricultural land and that it has an alluvial land makes our work a little difficult, and the second increases the cost. A very serious action is being taken to strengthen the ground. The infrastructure is strengthened by making piles according to its place, 'jet ground' and sometimes stone filling according to its location. The project is going as planned, there is no problem. Infrastructure progress is now at 22 percent. The project is good for our Sakarya and our country. ”
Yıldırım stated that TÜVASAŞ will participate in the delivery ceremony of the wagons produced for the Bulgarian Railways, “We will also deliver them. At the same time, we can say that TÜVASAŞ is the most comprehensive export and technology product ever made. A project of about 70 trillion. Today, we will deliver it with the participation of the Bulgarian Minister of Transport. Another important job is to sign a contract with the Mayor for the joint use of the rail system in TCDD, Adapazarı-Sakarya. Thus, we will have completed the Sakarya program, "he said.
