In the light rail system project, while the second stage of Karataş Region continued uninterruptedly, the tram, which was running between Burç and Gar, was asked to stop at the red lights.
Trams stopping at the red lights on the route infuriated vehicle drivers. Vehicle drivers themselves wanted to adjust the signaling in such a way that tram drivers could stop at the red lights.
Trams, which have the advantage of crossing the crossroads, are said to extend the transit times of other vehicles, especially during the morning and evening traffic. They asked the Mayor of the Metropolitan Municipality, Asim Guzelbey, to help them solve this problem.
