8 soldiers were martyred and 16 were injured in the clash with PKK terrorists attacking troops in the Dağlıca part of Şemdinli, the district of HAKKARI, on the border with Iraq, with heavy weapons this morning. Chief of General Staff Necdet Özel and force commanders moved to the region.

Senior Sergeant Ali Gumus, Infantry Oncage Cahit Kilic, Infantry Corporal Jesus Mr, Infantry Er Umut Bulut, Infantry Er Ali Yasin Erosmanoglu, Infantry Er Mustafa Turkmen, Infantry Er Yasar Saturated, Transport Er Samet Tüm.
21 soldiers were martyred and 2007 soldiers were wounded in the clashes that broke out on 7 October attack from PKK members who leaked from Iraqi territory on 12 October 16 in Dağlıca. 8 soldiers were kidnapped by terrorists. 32 terrorists were captured in the skirmishes.
