Railways to be privatized

Deputy Prime Minister Bülent Arınç announced at the meeting of the Council of Ministers that Minister of Transport Binali Yıldırım made a presentation on two draft laws.
One of the draft laws is the liberalization of postal services.
The first of these drafts is the draft law on postal services, which involves the liberalization of postal services, and the regulation of the principles and procedures related to the establishment of the postal and telegraph company.
Another draft bill is about rail transport. Arinc said that the State Railways will be opened to the private sector.
Other draft laws concerning the liberalization of the rail transport in Turkey. State Railways will be restructured as two separate companies to carry out freight and passenger transport and infrastructure services. The bill will allow private companies to be established to carry cargo and passengers to benefit from the infrastructure of DDY.
