The feasibility reports of the railway project, which is planned to be built from the Organized Industrial Zone in the Milas district of Muğla to Güllük Port, were introduced.
The railway line, which is planned to bring a significant benefit for years in freight transportation from Milas Organized Industrial Zone to Güllük Port, was discussed at a meeting held at the Milas Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Professor of Izmir University of Economics, who carried out the feasibility studies of the project. Dr. Refail Kasımbeyli, Asst. Assoc. Dr. Mahmut Ali Gökçe, Asst. Assoc. Dr. Erdinç Öner attended the panel as a speaker.
Tevfik Kırçın, Deputy Mayor of Güllük, M. Sait Sapan, Manager of Milas Tax Office, Enver Tuna, Chairman of MİTSO and other interested parties attended the panel.
Tuna made the opening speech of the panel; “As MITSO management, it will be very beneficial for our region to transport the Denizli-Aydın-Yatağan-Milas-Milas OSB-Güllük Port-connected railway to the sea, which is the cheapest transportation line in the world, from the industry to the mine, from the forest to the agriculture in the most economical and safest way. we know. This road will contribute very positively to the increase in production, exports and employment in our region. Because the railway and seaway are the cheapest and safest transportation way in the world. ” said.
After Tuna's speech, Asst. Assoc. Dr. Gökçe conveyed the feasibility reports they prepared as a university as a presentation.
Gökçe stated that there are two 18- and 26-kilometer thoughts for the railroad from the north and south of Milas-Bodrum Airport. He noted that the railway is planned to cost about $ 2,5 million per kilometer during the establishment phase, but this time can be subsidized in transportation costs in a period of 87 months considering all scenarios.
