Ankara and Istanbul high speed train stations are planned to be completed in 2013

The Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) at the end of the year 2013 gave weight to work faster train station due to be completed by the Ankara-Istanbul high-speed train project.
In this context, Ankara and Istanbul high speed train stations are planned to be completed in 2013. TCDD determined the location of the first high-speed train station to be built in Istanbul. The high-speed train station will be built in Pendik and there will be a shopping center, entertainment halls, luxury restaurants, playgrounds and parking spaces in the station. The construction of the station will be done by TOKI. In return, it will get a 50 percent share from any commercial area inside the station. TCDD's share will also be 50 percent. The State Railways also accelerated its efforts for any necessary decision to pave the way for the construction of the station. On the other hand, a tender will be held on 17 July for the high-speed train station to be built in Ankara. The project will be realized with the Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) method.
