Turkey Locomotive and Engine Industry Inc. (TÜLOMSAŞ) with South Korea's Hyundai Rotem signed an agreement to produce electric locomotives in 72 Company.
According to the written statement made by TÜLOMSAŞ, electric locomotives will be produced at TÜLOMSAŞ Facilities within the scope of the project, which will create a leverage effect on TÜLOMSAŞ's high technology journey.
The new generation of state-of-the-art locomotives with AC / AC drive and 5000 kilowatt power plant will be used by TCDD in freight and passenger train services.
72 electric locomotive will be completed by the end of 2014 year. TÜLOMSAŞ, which will be licensed by this agreement, will increase the efficiency of electric locomotives with export-oriented production in the world market.
The contractor began production of high-tech locomotives, technological as well as economic sense, the gain significant added value to Turkey and Eskisehir will provide.
