Rize Ropeway Project: Expropriation work has started for 30 thousand square meters area for the ropeway project prepared by Rize Municipality. We have completed the expropriation works of the area of ​​13 square meters since the day the project was spoken and paid 110 million 1 thousand lira to the beneficiaries. We are planning to pay a 967 million lira expropriation fee to the shareholders by doing the expropriation works of the remaining 17 thousand square meters. ” said.

Providing information about the area of ​​the project, Bakırcı said: “The project we carried to the parliament was accepted there. The distance of the cable car line from the coastline to Dagbasi location (Sahin Hill) will be 1608 meters and the altitude difference will be 349.7 meters. According to the preliminary project, 9 poles are planned to be erected for the line, and the driver and tensioner are planned to be made at the lower station. The average cost of the construction of the automatic ropeway line project was calculated as 3 million 620 thousand euros. The cable car line, which is planned to be 5 minutes 29 seconds, can carry 600 people per hour. In fact, 8 transportation cabins for 16 people and 1 maintenance cabin will be placed. ”

Stating that the vision of the city will improve with the project, Mayor Bakırcı said, “We will create a different perspective for Rize. A few years ago, we shared the Rize photos taken from the helicopter with the public during the visits of our Prime Minister to Rize and it attracted a lot of attention.
