CFCU Irmak - Karabük - Zonguldak Railway Line Rehabilitation and Signalization Project 15 Starts in May

New developments regarding the construction works (EuropeAid / 130341 / D / WKS / TR) within the scope of “Supervision Services related to Irmak - Karabük - Zonguldak Railway Line Rehabilitation and Signalization Project” to be realized by the Central Finance and Contracts Unit have been recorded. The foundation of the 415 kilometer line will be laid on May 15, 2012. Transport, Maritime and Communication Minister Yildirim, EU officials, TCDD General Manager Karaman and company representatives will attend the groundbreaking ceremony.
The tender was launched on 28 May 2011 by the Central Finance and Contracts Unit (CFCU) for the project that the EU provided financing under the “Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA)”. Yapı Merkezi İnşaat ve Sanayi A.Ş. has been awarded the tender for the project with a budget of 9 million euro, which has been offered by 337 consortiums, with an offer of approximately 220 million euro. firm "Yapı Merkezi İnşaat ve Sanayi A.Ş. + MÖN Construction and Trade Ltd. Sti. " he had won his consortium.
The project, which includes the rehabilitation and signalization of the 415 kilometer-long line, is also important because it is one of the first railway lines built in the Republican period.

With this project, the line will be modernized, train speeds will increase, costs and accident risk will be reduced. The reconstruction of the 415 km railway line and a new signaling system will be installed on the line in question. Within the scope of rehabilitation of the permanent road, protective measures will be taken against the construction of an infrastructure layer with sufficient bearing capacity / proper drainage, completion of the superstructure (ballasts, rails and trusses), rehabilitation of construction structures, rehabilitation of retaining walls, landslides and flow flows in inclined areas. ETCS (European Train Control System) level one (1) application will be implemented along the railway line. Electronic signaling system will be installed. New level crossing equipment and telecommunication facilities will be established. The adaptation of the existing signaling system at the Irmak station and the construction of a new distribution center will be built in Karabük.
