Approval for 60 Age Card in İzmir

According to the decision of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Council, citizens over the age of 60 will be able to benefit from public transportation vehicles for free at certain times of the day until 50, for 2013 liras.
At the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Council meeting, the new regulation regarding the application of the 60-year-old card, which was canceled in February due to the Court's failure to give proper opinion, was unanimously approved.
According to the regulation, people who are over 2 years old from 60 May will benefit from public transportation free of charge at certain times until next year for 50 liras. Card holders will be able to board unlimited hours between 10.00-16.00 and 19.00-24.00.
Citizens over 60 years of age who want to have a card can apply to the units related to the receipt of 50 liras they will pay to Vakıfbank.
Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Aziz Kocaoglu, in his speech at the meeting of the Assembly, stated that they are working to overcome the shortcomings of public transportation system.
Stating that they gave free access to police officers, police, press employees, PTT and TURKSTAT personnel, Kocaoğlu said, “We faced various problems because we could not connect them to the system. There were a number of abuses. Even if this right is given to them by law, everyone will use Kentkart. A transportation card will be given to employees in these institutions. Thus, leakage will be prevented. ”
