Kars Foundation's "goose dinner" night in Ankara brought together many names from the political and business world. Minister of Transport Binali Yıldırım, who attended the night, said that the project that will bring the high-speed train to Kars was at the top of the list of 2023 targets, and that it would not be possible to return.
The traditional "goose dinner" event was attended by Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Minister Binali Yıldırım as well as AK Party Deputy Chairman Abdülkadir Aksu, CHP Deputy Chairman Gürsel Tekin, MHP Group Deputy Chairman Oktay Vural, former ministers Hikmet Sami Türk and many guests.
Speaking at the night where plaques were presented to businessmen from Kars for their contribution to the city, Minister Yıldırım stated that Kars, which is located on the strategic location and trade routes, is a popular destination for global trade.
Describing Kars as the symbol of the unity, solidarity and independence of the country, Minister Yıldırım said that they consider serving this city as their neck.
Emphasizing that 85 percent of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars project has been completed and that they will connect not only Baku to Kars but also China to London with this project, Yıldırım gave the good news that the project that will bring the high-speed train to Kars will be realized.
Hikmet Çetin, one of the former Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, presented a plaque of appreciation to Minister Yıldırım for the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line works.
