Railway companies from Belarus, Poland, Russia and Ukraine signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in transport services for the European Football Championship UEFA 2012.
According to the agreement, the parties agreed to provide additional passenger trains carrying football fans between the cities of Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Poland. Accordingly, the parties declared that they would cooperate in order to optimize customs duties and border crossing procedures for the participants.
A concept for rail traffic was developed, especially the connection between Russia and Poland, which will continue throughout the Football Championship. On the trains running from Warsaw to Moscow, many passengers will transfer from the aktarma PKP Intercity ler trains to the JSC “FPK” trains by Russian train. Passengers traveling from Warsaw to Moscow will take the Polish train to Brest and then transfer by Russian train. This will allow more efficient use of existing railway and infrastructure features.
For the trains departing from Moscow, some arrangements were made in line with the conditions created by UEFA 2012 market demand.
