Karşıyaka tram approved in Ankara

Alaybey-Karşıyaka-Mavişehir 10 kilometer route with 15 stops and planned project for 17 vehicles, was given by the General Directorate of DLH

İzmir Metropolitan Municipality continues to work for tram lines which are expected to implement the metro system in a complementary manner and bring a new breath to the traffic in the city. In this context, one of the three tram lines Karşıyaka tram route was approved by DLH General Directorate of Ministry of Transport.

Alaybey-Karşıyaka-The planned tram line with 10 stops and 15 vehicles on the approximately 17 kilometer route between Mavişehir will be equipped with double lines and catenary systems.

Application project ready

Application Project is ready Karşıyaka tram Alaybey'den by the coast Bostanlı Pier, from there Ismail Sivri Street, Cemal Gursel Street, Sehit Cengiz Topel Street, Selcuk Yasar Street and Cahar Dudayev Boulevard followed by Izban Cigli Warehouse facilities next to Mavisehir Suburban Station.

Bus lines departing

With the realization of tram lines, transportation will take place by tram lines instead of buses. Tram lines, cost-effective and fast to be made, the complementary function of the subway system, in terms of adaptation to urban fabric, tire wheel transportation caused by air pollution negativity is known.
