HARSCO has received orders worth US$20 million for line maintenance shredders from new customers in China and Korea, and existing customer, UK's infrastructure manager, Network Rail.
Sampyo Engineering & Construction will use the new machines for the construction of the 183 km high-speed train line from Osong to Gwangju in Korea. This line is planned to be completed in 2014 and extended to Mokpo in 2015.
In China, Harsco has reached an agreement with Ningbo Rail Group for 30 stone units to be used in underground subway construction. This is the first 30-unit order ever, because two orders of 10 and 20 were previously received.
In Britain, Network Rail will complement the existing fleet network with new grinding machines. Harsco machines will be used for the maintenance of the lines.
