Saudi Arabia Harameyn fast train starts operations in 2014

The Saudi Railways Organization (SRO) has announced that the 450-kilometer Harameyn high-speed train project, which will connect the holy cities of Jeddah, Mecca and Medina, will be launched from 2014.

The project also connects industrial zones and new economic cities with densely populated areas connected to the Northbridge and the Northbridge. In this context, the city of Jeddah, Jeddah King Abdul Aziz International Airport and King Abdullah Economic City stations will be built.

Construction of the Harameyn high-speed train station in Mecca is expected to cost more than $ 853.6 million. After the completion of the Harameyn high-speed train project, the 150.000 passenger is expected to take advantage of the line.
