Tashkent, Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan signed a tripartite agreement on the construction of railway, oil-gas, water and electricity lines.

After the tripartite talks between Iranian President Mahmud Ahmedinejad, Afghanistan President Hamid Karzai and Tajikistan President Imamali Rahman in the country within the framework of the Regional Economic Cooperation Conference (RECCA-V) on Afghanistan, which started today in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan, the railway between these countries Cooperation memorandum was signed for the construction of oil, gas, drinking water and power lines.

Commission 2 gathering after months

Within the framework of the signed memorandum, a joint commission on the implementation of these projects will be established between the three countries, and the first meeting of this commission will be held in Tehran 2 months later.

The Commission will determine the financing of the projects

The commission in question is the railway stretching from Iran to Afghanistan to Tajikistan, the pipeline that will carry Iranian oil and natural gas to Afghanistan and Tajikistan, the electricity line that will connect Tajikistan electricity to Afghanistan and Iran, and the drinking water of Tajikistan to Afghanistan and Iran. will investigate the possibilities of the realization of the water pipeline to be carried, will also prepare the drafts of the projects in question, and determine the financing of these projects.

According to the memorandum of co-operation signed between the parties, they will be able to take part in other projects in these projects.
