Invensys Rail Dimetronic Brazil commits signaling and ATC systems modernization of suburban lines

Invensys Rail Dimetronic, 8, 10 and 11 in São Paulo / Brazil. It is the leader of the consortium that modernizes and improves the signaling and ATC systems of suburban lines.

Invensys Rail Dimetronic installs the SIRIUS system, which is a Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) system, to the three suburban lines along with rail vehicle materials and WESTRACE electronics interlocking, electric scissor motors and LED signals.

The new system will be designed and installed to work with the existing signaling system until it is fully installed and operational, in order to minimize the blocking of the service during the improvement work. This methodology has been used by Invensys Rail in other subways in different parts of the world, proving the company's ability to successfully perform complex projects in agreed time frames and to minimize the impact on service for passengers at the same time.

These three suburban lines are owned and operated by the Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM). 8. the line is 35 km long and consists of 20 station, 10. the line is 37 km long and consists of 16 station, 11. the line consists of 50 stations with a total length of 16 km. Together, these three lines offer service with 136 trains and maintenance vehicles for more than one million passengers on a day of the week.
