Tourism is a very important event that contributes to the promotion and economy of countries. Therefore, developed countries transfer a significant portion of their income to promotion, tourism and such areas. Most countries participate in the fairs organized to closely follow all developments in order to contribute to the promotion and economy and spend high amounts of money and make great efforts in this direction.
Our country is a very rich country in terms of tourism. But except for sea tourism, we cannot say that we are very advanced in most branches. Our region and district are the focus of attention of local and foreign tourists. In particular, foreign tourists travel thousands of kilometers to Doğubayazıt, making a significant contribution to our district's economy.
When we look back to Doğubayazıt's tourism chart, it can be seen that there are increases in the number of tourists. In these periods, infrastructure and bed capacity have been greatly increased. On the other hand, although the number of tourist beds in the district is quite good, due to the decrease in the number of tourists, the hotels have reached the closing point.
Ishakpaşa Palace, Ağrı Mountain, Meteor pit, Ice caves, Noah's ship and many other tourism values and history and cultural tourism is open to our town, a considerable tourism investment needs.
Only Ağrı Mountain is a potential. This potential can be evaluated, if mountain tourism can be revived, great gain is achieved for our district.
Mountaineering is a nature sport that includes hiking and camping in the mountains as well as climbing sport. With this sport, the ski lift to Ağrı mountain will give a special importance to the sports and Ağrı mountain. In the year of 2009, the Governor of Ağrı reported that a study was carried out in connection with the construction of a cable car to the mountain of Ağrı.
Although more than three years have passed since the statement made by the governor of Ağrı, we see that there is no development, and if there is work on this issue, it is beneficial to share it with the public.
In recent years, very important investments have been made for winter tourism in Eastern Anatolia, especially in Erzurum. Each of these investments is very important investments that complement one another. Unfortunately, Ağrı Mountain did not get the share it deserved during this important period of investments.
Although there are complaints about this issue from time to time in our district, including tourism organizations, there is a very serious demand and work related to the Ağrı mountain.
As a result, in this period when very large investments are made in tourism in Turkey, investments can be made on Mount Ararat by cable car or to be determined by experts in a way that will not deteriorate the nature. It should not be forgotten that these investments, which we always complain about but do not take steps, can only be possible with serious projects and demands!
