The Marmaray Project consists of 4 sections. Engineering and Consultancy Services, Railway Throat Tube Crossing: Tunnels and Stations (BC1), Gebze-Haydarpaşa, Sirkeci-Halkalı Improvement of Suburban Lines: Construction, Electrical and Mechanical Systems (CR-1) and Railway Vehicle Manufacturing (CR2) sections. The most important part of the project is the modernization of the suburban lines and the connection with the tube gate. Gebze-Haydarpaşa, Sirkeci-Halkalı Improvement of Commuter Lines: Construction, Electrical and Mechanical Systems (CR-1) has been established in some stations (Gebze, Halkalı, Pendik, Maltepe) work offices will be created. Within the scope of the study, the existing suburban lines will be improved and transformed into a superficial metro. A total of 37 stations will be renewed and transformed into modern stations.
