The Metropolitan Municipality of Ankara handed over the construction of subways to the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications.

The Ministry has also tendered the Keçiören - Tandogan, Kızılay - Çayyolu and Sincan - Batıkent lines in December.

The total length of the Metro lines will find the 44 mileage along with the highways.

Minister Yıldırım said, “We are aware of what metro lines mean for Ankara residents. All possibilities are mobilized and 3 shifts will be worked day and night. ” said.

Yıldırım said that the subways will be completed in mid-2014.

Minister Binali Yıldırım said:

“If everything goes well, if the incident is not experienced in the tunnels, the Keçiören - Tandogan line ends within 2,5 years. The other two will be finished in 2 years. We plan to finish 2014 lines at the beginning or mid of 3 ”
