The Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications and TCDD took the first critical decision regarding the Haydarpaşa Project, which has been on controversy for years.
TCDD General Manager Karaman stated that the Privatization Administration will carry out the Haydarpaşa Project tender, which creates a controversy, “We will receive rent every year during the operation. Anyone who wants to can go and visit the lower floor of Haydarpaşa Railway Station. ”
The Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications and TCDD took the first critical decision regarding the Haydarpaşa Project, which has been on controversy for years. The project will be entrusted to the Privatization Administration (PA). The tender process will be carried out by the PA. Haydarpaşa Train Station was closed to train traffic for 1 years due to the high speed train line construction works on February 2. In the first stage of the project, engineering and architecture tender will be held. The architectural office determined by the tender will draw the project. In the second stage, a new tender will be launched. In this tender, the investor who will undertake the construction and operation of the project will be determined. The winner of the tender will be asked to develop 2 different projects and submit them to the PA. The PA will choose a project that has been approved by the Ministry of Transport and TCDD among 5 projects. The contractor, which undertakes construction and operation, will start construction for this project. TCDD General Manager Süleyman Karaman stated that the project will be made with the build-operate-transfer (BOT) model and said, “The enterprise that will carry out the project will pay a certain price to TCDD from the front. Then we will get rent every year during the operation. ”
CONSTRUCTION OF THE HOTEL CONNECTED TO THE PROJECT
According to the news of Olcay Aydilek from Habertürk; Karaman said that it has not yet been decided whether Haydarpaşa's other floors will be opened as a hotel or not, and steps will be taken according to the projects to be prepared.
