reported that the process has begun.

General Directorate of State Railways General Directorate of Press and Public Relations Consultancy in a written statement, recently in the national press and Kocaeli local press Eskisehir-Istanbul YHT Project, Köseköy-Gebze section was reminded about some news related to the section.

In the news produced by the TCDD by referring to an article written in the “Central Finance and Contracts Unit”, the following information was included in the statement that the perception of TCDD was deliberately misleading the Kocaeli public:

“The 56-kilometer Köseköy-Gebze axis is built with EU grants and the project is carried out by the Central Finance and Contracts Unit. On December 15, 2011, the site was delivered and work started and as of February 1, 2012, the line was closed to train traffic. Examination and ground studies in the mentioned section between 15 December and 1 February; geotechnical and geological studies have been done. As of February 1, the dismantling process was started on the upper and lower structures of the line.

In the statement highlighted that there was no delay, hitch and downtime in the work schedule and work program, the following were recorded:

“In the period before the line was closed to traffic, joint actions were carried out with local administrations, Governorships, relevant public and private institutions, and measures were taken for regional transportation after the line was closed and shared with the public. While this is the case, it is unfair for both the public and the TCDD to give the article written by TCDD to the Central Finance and Contracts Unit in the form of 'Document that the People of Kocaeli have been deceived'. The implementation of the project in a way that is visible to the public is also a requirement of the EU visibility principles. The issue is too transparent to prevent abuse. ”
