Yesterday, a meeting was held in Ankara with the attendance of Sakarya Governor Mustafa Büyük, AK Party Deputies Hasan Ali Çelik, Ayhan Sefer Üstün, Şaban Diş, Ayşenur Islam, Ali İhsan Yavuz, Metropolitan Mayor Zeki Toçoğlu and TCDD General Manager Süleyman Karaman. Making a statement on this issue, President Zeki Toçoğlu said:
“As you know, we have been working on a long time to move the train station to the new terminal. The fact that the trains run 24 times a day in the direction of departure and departure and the train station being in the center affected the city traffic especially negatively. For this reason, as Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality, we started such a study to remove the train station from the city center and put an end to this congestion. After moving the train station to the new terminal, we will realize the first phase of the light rail project project between Adapazarı city center and the new terminal on the existing train line from the city center. Then, we will work for our city rail system project to serve on different lines. ”
