According to information given to salamnews of Turkey's Embassy in Baku, the parties are holding continuous talks for initiating said construction work on the line. Construction works will start at the beginning of 2013.
According to the information obtained from the embassy, the amount of mutual investment between the two countries is about 20 billion dollars. According to official indicators, the economy of Azerbaijan by Turkey and Turkish businessmen to $ 6,5 billion, while Turkey's economy was made by Azerbaijani businessmen to invest 4,5 billion dollars. The investment of 5 billion manats to the oil refinery to be built in İzmir is not included in the said figure. However, mutual investments amounted to $ 20 billion.
