Who is suleyman karaman

TCDD General Manager Süleyman Karaman states that TCDD, which has been ignored for 60 years, has become dynamic and advanced technology. Karaman also noted that the railroad is the most secure, high-quality and economical mode of transport, and underlines the fact that the targets in TCDD have never ended.

Could you think that you could go from Ankara to Eskişehir in a day and have a tea on the edge of Porsuk Stream and return home in the evening? But died. Now this time; “You will be able to swim in Antalya and return home in the evening,” says TCDD General Manager Süleyman Karaman. It's also true that this dream come true. There are many more good news from TCDD General Manager…

TCDD has made great improvements in recent years. One of these is the fast train. Can you tell us about the work done and the point reached so far?

TCDD, for the last 9 years live a miracle. 60 is transformed into an institution with the most dynamic, advanced railway technology of our country after a period of years being ignored. With the adoption of our railways as a state policy since 2003, the renewal of existing lines, especially the hem High Speed Train en projects, modernization of towing and towing vehicles, improvement of the advanced railway industry, improvement of level crossings, urban rail transportation projects, restructuring and transformation into block freight train transportation and establishment of logistics centers are among our ongoing projects. In numerical terms of our government's support for railways; 2003-2010 10 million 836 million TL investment allowance was transferred to TCDD. So, in 2003 250 Million TL allowance was given, this amount increased to 2011 million 3 million in 307.

In this sense, I would like to once again thank Mr. Prime Minister and all other members of the government for the support of all railway and railway lovers for their support to the railways.

What has been achieved in this 9 annual process?

The first YHT line of our country, Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Train Project's 1. We have been serving successfully since 13 March 2009 in Ankara-Eskişehir line. In this line, an average of 572 passengers per day with conventional trains carried out prior to the HRC, this number reached to an average of 7 a thousand people a day after HRT.

The demand for YHT has changed the habit of traveling by bus and private vehicle. YHT has not only shortened the travel time between Ankara and Eskişehir but also the transportation to other cities with YHT + Train and YHT + Bus combined connections.

With the YHT + Train connection, there have been considerably shortened travel times to Istanbul, Kütahya, Afyon and YHT + Bus connections to Bursa. On the Ankara-Konya YHT line, which we launched on August 24, 2011, we have 8 trips per day, while we increased this number to 14, and we plan to increase 2012 flights in 20. We are planning YHT flights between Konya and Eskişehir with the provision of new YHT sets. On the other hand, Ankara-Konya YHT line has shortened travel to other provinces. We provided YHT + DMU connection to Karaman. In the following days, transportation to Istanbul will be made easier by train, by bus connection from Konya to Antalya, Manavgat, Alanya, Silifke, Mut settlements.

ISTANBUL - ANKARA SİVAS

In addition, the construction of the Eskişehir-Istanbul and Ankara-Sivas YHT lines, the second stage of the Ankara-Istanbul High Speed Train Project, continues. When both stages are completed, Ankara-Istanbul will be reduced to 2 hours. We aim to complete our other YHT line, Ankara-Sivas, in 3. Ankara Sivas also decreases to 2014 hours. In addition, the tender processes of double-line, electrical and signaled high-speed train projects suitable for 3 km speed between Ankara-İzmir, Sivas-Erzincan and Bursa-Bilecik are continuing. Our vision for 250, from Edirne to Kars, Turkey from Antalya, Trabzon's all our goal of knitting high-speed rail network. On the other hand, our efforts to modernize the existing system, develop advanced railway industry, and restructure it. Likewise, we have very important projects in freight transportation.

We switched to block train operation. Thus, the amount of freight transported increased 2002% compared to 58, and transportation revenues grew by 170%. The private sector has seen the advantage of rail transport. In addition, logistics centers will be established in 16 locations. These are; 1- Istanbul- (Halkalı), 2- Kocaeli- (Köseköy), 3- Eskişehir- (Hasanbey), 4- Balıkesir- (Gökköy), 5- Kayseri- (Boğazköprü), 6- Samsun- (Gelemen), 7- Mersin- (Yenice), 8- Uşak, 9- Erzurum- (Palandöken), 10- Konya- (Kayacık), 11- Istanbul- (Yeşilbayır), 12-Bilecik- (Bozüyük), 13-K.Maraş - Türkoğlu), 14-Mardin, 15 Sivas is 16-Kars. The first phase of the Samsun (Gelemen) Logistics Center was put into operation, the 1st phase construction works of the Kaklik (Denizli) Logistics center were completed, and the 1st phase construction works of the Eskişehir (Hasanbey) and Köseköy (Izmit) Logistics centers are continuing. Project, expropriation and construction tender processes of other logistics centers are ongoing.

If all logistic centers are operational, how many tons of rail transport will increase?

With the introduction of all logistics centers, the increase in railway transportation is expected to increase by approximately 10 million tons. On the other hand, we provide cheap and safe transportation services by bringing the organized industrial zones of the economy together with the main railway lines. While the number 2002 2002 OSB and freight railway line connecting the center to the main railway In the 281 2010 reached xnumx'y. In addition, we have made improvements to the 452 level crossing at the intersection of the railway with the highway. The 3.476 level crossing was controlled. After these studies, a significant reduction in level crossing accidents was achieved.

IRON SILK ROAD

There are also important projects for the development of the international railway. Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, the historic Silk Road Project in collaboration with the Kars-Tbilisi-Baku Railway We're having a life again. 'Iron Silk Road' is described as projects with 265 kilometers in Georgia, 76 kilometers from the borders of Turkey, including Kars-Ahilkelek will be built 105 kilometers of railways, the 165-kilometer railway will be renewed in Azerbaijan. With the project, which is planned to be completed in Marmaray and 2012, 1,5 million passengers and 3 million tons of cargo will be transported annually, as well as uninterrupted rail transportation from China to London.

There are also projects for the Middle East. From Istanbul to Mecca, to Medina, we aim to be visited by YHT. We have made an agreement with Spain and China to cooperate in these projects. In the coming days, you will see the developments about them. All of these projects are important projects for the railway to stand up and to provide modern rail services to our citizens. However, YHT projects are a step ahead of others as the public is following closely.

The distance between Ankara and Istanbul is a shortage of trains. Can you give us some detail?

Everyone is looking forward to the completion of this project, which is currently under construction between Ankara and Ankara, the largest city of our country. When the project is completed, the travel time between the two major cities will be reduced to 3 hours. When the arrival and departure of the trains is in the city center, considering the departure, turnaround, and flight time at the airports, the YHT travel time will be shorter than the flight time. Ankara-Eskişehir stage of the Ankara-İstanbul High Speed Train project was opened with a total length of 533 km. After the project in Eskişehir, İnönü - Vezirhan, Vezirhan - Köseköy and their sections have strong geographical conditions. Therefore, we have to pass these sections with tunnels and viaducts. So far, the 50 kilometer of the 30 kilometer was completed. In this sense, we can easily say that the tough bend in the construction of Ankara-Istanbul YHT line has been exceeded. The construction of the 56 km length Köseköy-Gebze section, whose tender has been completed, will start soon. Ankara-Istanbul YHT line will be integrated with Marmaray project after Gebze. We are planning to open the Ankara-Istanbul YHT line in 2013 by continuing our work day and night. With the opening of this line, our citizens will enjoy the fast, safe and comfortable travel between the two biggest cities of our country in a short time such as 3 hour. Ankara and Istanbul will be the suburb of each other. We aim to carry 17 million passengers annually between YHT and Ankara-Istanbul.

Can you give us some information about your work on distant distances, such as expeditions to the east, to the southeast, and to the renewal of trains. Because a citizen who went to Konya in a conversation the other day, he was so pleased, he said to me:: This train, what were we boarded before? Giden Will they talk like that?
While we are building high speed train lines, we do not neglect our existing conventional lines and trains. Among these lines, the 100-150 had been untouched for years, and now we have been unable to run any train around here. During the last 9 year, we have renewed the 11 thousand 5 kilometers of the 700 thousand kilometers of conventional railway lines. After the renewal of the railways, the speed of our freight and passenger trains, which were on these lines and now slowed down, also increased. We have made improvements to our trains operating on the conventional railway lines and carrying passengers to the East from the East, from the Southeast to the Mediterranean to Ankara and to Istanbul. We completely renewed the passenger cars from interior designs to dining halls. We have made the wagons air conditioned for comfortable and comfortable travel in summer and winter climates. We're putting the Diesel Train Sets (DMU) next time to make the journeys between neighboring cities more comfortable, not just between remote cities. Eskişehir-Kütahya, Adana-Mersin, Tekirdağ-Muratlı and Konya ,Karaman, Izmir-Nazilli, such as the nearby cities are making the trip pleasant with railroad.

Railways ready for 2023

2023 350 billion dollars will be made to the transportation sector until the 45 billion dollar part of the investment will be allocated to railways. Thus, railways will be ready for 2023.

You say Antalya daily. Dreamy. What if we talk about these developments?

The vision of the transportation system of our country was determined at the International 10 Transport Council. Important decisions were taken for the railways. A map of the transport system was drawn. In the context of these decisions; 2023 billion dollars of 350 billion dollars will be allocated to the transportation sector by 45. In this context;

  • Completion of the 2 thousand 622 km high-speed train network, which is under construction, by 2012.
  • Building 2023 thousand km high-speed train network by 10.
  • It is aimed to build 2023 thousand km of new conventional lines by 4.

In this context, a double-line high-speed train line with 450 km length will be constructed between Konya and Antalya. We are also planning the YHT line between Antalya and Alanya. The travel time between Ankara and Antalya will be 2,5 hours. In other words, a person who gets on high-speed train from Ankara in the morning will swim in Antalya and will be able to come back home in the evening. Or someone who has a job in a government office in Ankara will be able to travel from Ankara to Ankara. We are expecting 5 to travel annually in Antalya YHT, which will make a great contribution to tourism in our country. These are not dreams. These projects will be implemented as in Eskişehir and Konya. The high-speed train is a revolution in our transportation system. YHT line built from Edirne to Kars from Antalya to Trabzon edildikçe a completely different Turkey will emerge.

TÜLOMSAŞ, TÜVASAŞ AND TÜDEMSAŞ

What are the developments in production and what are the developments?

Our subsidiaries; In TÜLOMSAŞ, which is located in Eskişehir, locomotives and freight wagons are produced, the train set and passenger wagons in TÜVASAŞ in Sakarya and the freight wagons are produced in TÜDEMSAŞ in Sivas. In order to meet the needs of TCDD, a contract was signed with TÜLOMSAŞ for the production of 80 electric outline locomotives. In addition, 20 Diesel Electric (DE) outline locomotive will be manufactured in TÜLOMSAŞ and design studies are in progress. In TÜVASAŞ, 84 Diesel Train Set (DMU) was started to be manufactured and the first prototype diesel train set produced in this context was put into service between İzmir-Tire. In TÜLOMSAŞ and TÜDEMSAŞ, 818 freight wagons will be manufactured in line with the requirements of TCDD. On the other hand, we are encouraging the development of the railway industry by cooperating with the domestic and foreign private sector while developing the railways with the resources allocated and the projects realized in the past. EUROTEM railway vehicles factory was established in Sakarya with the cooperation of Korea. Marmaray sets are still produced in the facility. In partnership with TCDD, the Fast Train Scissor Factory (VADEMSAŞ) in Çankırı and VOSSLOH / GERMANY have set up a rail fastener factory in Erzincan and 17 exports to different countries as well as meeting domestic needs. For YHT lines, KARDEMİR rails are produced. In addition to the TCDD's concrete sleeper production facilities in Afyon and Sivas, the number of facilities producing high quality railway sleepers has reached ten. With a protocol made between TCDD and the Machinery Chemical Industry Corporation, strategic cooperation has been made towards the production of railway wheels locally in our country, and works related to production and establishment of the facility have been continuing by the relevant Authority.

Can you give information about international flights?

One end of our country stretches to Europe and the Balkans and the other to Asia and the Middle East. In this sense, Turkey, Asia, takes on the task as a bridge between Europe and the Middle East. Most historical ties to further strengthen between what the countries around us are people of our cultural ties and to contribute to the development of the Istanbul-Tehran-Istanbul between the Trans-Asian railway with Van-between Tabriz-Van a day Turkey-Iran today, the second Friday of each month in Gaziantep-Aleppo day mutually Syrian Railways of diesel train sets with Turkey - Syria, Tehran-Aleppo-Tehran between bypassing our country working one day a week passenger train with Iran - Turkey - Syria, Istanbul-Bucharest-reciprocal working every day in Istanbul Bosfor Express with Turkey - Romania Bosfor between the wagon train that connects to Express Istanbul-Sofia-Istanbul and Belgrade are scheduled passenger transportation between Turkey and Bulgaria.
