The Ministry of Transport took the Trabzon-Erzincan High Speed Train Project for the Eastern Black Sea Region on its agenda.

The Ministry announced that it is working on the Trabzon-Erzincan High Speed Train Project. In the statement made by the Research and Planning Department of the General Directorate of State Railways under the Ministry of Transport, it was noted that the railway project for the Eastern Black Sea Region was the Erzincan-Trabzon High Speed Train Project. In the statement, which stated that the study-project studies of the project in question are at the stage of completion and the tender is planned to be made next year, “High speed trains speed 250-300 km per hour. The high-speed train project that will connect the provinces close to Trabzon in the Eastern Black Sea Region is not available due to the proximity of these provinces and geographical conditions. The aim of the Trabzon-Erzincan High Speed Train Project is to provide a safe and comfortable transportation service to Trabzon via Istanbul-Ankara-Sivas-Erzincan and to the Eastern Black Sea provinces by road connection ”.
