As of January 01, 2021, a penalty of 1180 lira will be imposed on drivers who do not have a psycho-technical test report, which is applied to minimize traffic accidents caused by human factors, and to measure the behavior and reactions of the driver in cases such as memory, speed control and aggression from the moment the driver goes on the road. In addition, they will not be allowed to drive.

Turkey in the last 10 years, about 12 million traffic accidents taking place, more than 50 thousand people lost their lives. The fact that 96 percent of the traffic accidents that occurred were caused by driver error has once again revealed how important the psychotechnical exam is.

The psychotechnical test is carried out in the company of psychologists for 60 to 90 minutes. Within the scope of the Psychotechnical Examination and Evaluation Report, 12 different tests including continuous attention, reasoning, coordination, selective attention, speed distance estimation, collision prediction, visual perception memory, personality, visual continuity, peripheral visual vision, reaction speed and traffic vision test. is being implemented.

Those who do not pass the Psychotechnical Examination and Evaluation Report tests are prohibited from using commercial vehicles until the risks are eliminated.

However, after the 90-day period, drivers can apply for the test again for a psychotechnical report. The fee required for the compulsory document is 170 TL.
