In the operation carried out at Esendere Customs Gate in Iran, 113 kilograms of "peyote cactus", which caused hallucinations due to the "mescaline" compound found naturally in it, was seized.

Esendere from Customs Gate during a routine customs clearance of a truck driver entering Turkey on exhibit suspicious behavior was directed to the vehicle x-ray scanning.

The driver who wanted to unload some parcels from the vehicle before scanning was blocked. The boxes, in which the suspicious density was detected in the X-ray scan and the narcotic detector dog reacted, were opened.

It was determined that there were 113 plants with 1530 kilograms in the boxes, and these plants were found to be the "peyote cactus", which was grown in South America and caused hallucinations due to the "mescaline" compound found naturally.

Drug warning was detected in the analysis of the sample obtained from the plants with the test device.

While the vehicle was seized, the driver was detained.
