EGO Driver Training

Ankara Metropolitan Municipality EGO General Directorate continues its in-service vocational trainings, which are regularly given each year in order to keep drivers' professional qualifications at the highest level.

In trainings given to EGO drivers; basic occupational health and safety measures, basic concepts related to traffic, factors affecting the safe driving and how the solutions will be discussed by experts.

At the Metropolitan Municipality Conference Hall, the trainings are carried out in groups of close to one thousand people.

-HER YEAR REGULAR EDUCATION-

Officials of the EGO General Directorate Bus Operation Department stated that every year regular trainings are given to the drivers who are responsible for the public transport in the capital between the 700 and the 750 thousand every day to increase their professional qualifications and equipment.

Authorities noted that drivers who had undergone several rigorous tests before training, were subjected to trainings that would increase their professional qualifications, and the drivers, who were still working with the beginners, were trained by the experts; they gave theoretical and practical training, including safe driving, the use of bellows buses and technical information about buses. Authorities underlined that all drivers must attend the trainings.
