The bridge will be the longest suspension bridge in the world, with a middle span of over 2 meters. "It was designed as a railroad crossing in addition to the 2 × 3 road vehicle lane on the Çanakkale Bosphorus Crossing Bridge."
Bilgin, after the completion of the feasibility of the bridge and preparation of the EIA report, stated that they would apply to the Ministry of Development for the decision of the YPK in the middle of this year.
A ring will be created by highway in the Marmara Region
The Highway Project, which also includes the Çanakkale Strait Crossing Bridge, will provide another link between Europe and Asia.
When the project is completed, it will be connected to Balıkesir and Çanakkale by highway, and it will reach Tekirdağ through Çanakkale bridge and then to Kapıkule. Thus, a ring will be created by the highway in the Marmara Region. With the project in question, the traffic load of Istanbul will also be reduced, transportation costs will decrease, transportation activities of the Aegean Region can also be carried out through Çanakkale.
