4.5 million euros support came from the EU to the Güzelçam Ski Center: 13 million kilometers away from Ardahan, a 4.5 million euro grant was awarded to the Güzelçam Uğurludağ Ski Center covered by pine trees within the scope of the European Union's BROP project.
As a result of the efforts of the Governorate to be included in the Winter Sports Tourism Centers of the Güzelçam Uğurludağ Ski Center, the Güzelçam Ski Center was declared as the 'Winter Sports Tourism Center' by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The hotel has been awarded a 1.5 million euro grant from the BROP project of the European Union in order to become the Winter Sports Tourism Center of Soloçam with its 4,5 kilometer chairlift line and ski slopes. With the support of the grant received, a ski slope with a 3-kilometer closed cabin chairlift line will be constructed to the Güzelçam Ski Center.
Stating that Ardahan will go a long way in terms of Winter Tourism with the support of the European Union, Governor Seyfettin Azizoğlu said, “Our project evaluated by the European Union has been accepted and grant support has been approved. Ardahan's potential for winter tourism will gain significant momentum with infrastructure support. We will show everyone that Ardahan is a growing and developing center in terms of winter tourism ”.
