'Train Scan System' is coming to Kapıköy Border Gate

Customs and Trade Minister Hayati Yazici, the first time in Turkey Kapıköy Border Kapas, 'Train Scanning System' has reported that planned to set up and put into service by the end of the year 2012 of the system.

For this purpose, 29 “Customs Enforcement, Smuggling and Intelligence Directorates” have been established throughout the country, and specialist personnel trained in subjects such as 'x-ray operator', 'detector dog management', 'use of technical equipment' have been assigned.
In addition, all border gates and airport control points, which are considered risky in terms of drug delivery, have been equipped with advanced x-ray devices, trained personnel are employed in these areas, and a 'narcotic detector dog' has been assigned.
Minister Yazıcı stated that the modern and technologically advanced inspection and control equipments and systems, which are installed within the scope of the EU projects, are used effectively in order to combat drugs, illegal trade and human trafficking in many land, sea and airport.
